Frequently Asked Questions.

  • Finding the right therapist can be difficult, hence we generally provide a free 15-minute consultation to understated your needs, circumstances, and make sure we are a good match.

    Please note that we are not a crisis support or an emergency service.

  • No, you do not need a GP referral/MHCP to see a counsellor, psychotherapist, or a psychologist.

  • If this is your first time seeing a therapist, the initial 15-minute consultation is free.

  • Seeing a counsellor/psychotherapist is not covered under Medicare. However, out of pocket cost to see a counsellor/psychotherapist is similar to the gap fee payable to see a Psychologist.

    You are eligible to receive Medicare rebates to see a Psychologist with a valid GP referral/ Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP).

    The average gap fee after rebate to see a Psychologist is generally between $100 - $180/session.

  • No cancelation fee applies if you cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 48-hours in advance. However, any cancelation within the 48-hour bracket before your appointment will incur a 50% cancellation fee of your sessions cost. Any cancellations within 24-hours will incur 100% of the session’s fee.

    Cancelation fee is not covered under Medicare.

  • Each session typically goes for 50 minutes.

  • Session rates may differ depending on various circumstances, including logistics, operational costs, practitioner’s specialisations, accreditations, and other factors. Hence, the session fee may vary depending on your practitioner.

    Sessions that are held in-person may incurs a higher fee, compared to telehealth (online) to account for logistical cost. This way, we are able to make our services affordable without passing additional expenses onto our clients.

    Some other factors include any reports required by your funder; as these are out of session tasks.
